Zane Lightbourne started his career as a Social Studies, History & Geography teacher, rising to the post of Vice-Principal before being promoted into the Ministry of Education. He now serves as Senior Education Officer in School Management.
An experienced and active trade unionist, he has held senior positions in the Bahamas Union of Teachers, including Vice-President and Acting President. He has served as General Secretary of the National Congress of Trade Unions, and currently serves as Secretary-General of The Bahamas Educators Managerial Union, as well as Chairman of Public Relations for the Caribbean Union of Teachers.
Zane Lightbourne is determined to help his constituents and all Bahamians to have secure jobs and homes, to help them work towards fulfilling their purpose.
