A family physician by training, Dr. Darville is also a successful businessman who managed multiple business ventures before venturing into politics in 2007.
He served as a PLP Senator and President of the Senate from 2009 – 2012 and was elected to the House of Assembly as a Member of Parliament for the Pineridge, Grand Bahama in 2012. As a member of parliament, he lobbied for increased infrastructural developments, jobs programs and other youth empowerment programs benefiting the entire island of Grand Bahama.
He also served as the Minister for Grand Bahama in 2012, becoming the first Cabinet Minister in the nation’s history to be appointed away from the capital city, Nassau.
