Statement by Dr. Michael Darville

On behalf of the Opposition, I extend heartfelt condolences to my Parliamentary colleague, Elsworth Johnson, and the family of Kim Johnson-Rolle on her untimely passing.
As we mourn with the close knit community of Bimini, the PLP calls on the government to spare no resources in protecting frontline healthcare workers and residents in Bimini and all of our Family Islands who are at an inherent and distinct disadvantage by virtue of geography.
We plead with Bahamians everywhere to comply with all health and safety protocols and acquaint themselves with the health guidelines and global best practices to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 as we fight this pandemic.
May the soul of Kim Johnson-Rolle rest in peace.
